SLAVIC BLINIS AT PURPUR 27.1.-13.2.2021
In Russia, lovely, thin Slavic blinis are the absolute center of the dining table, especially at mid-winter. Originally, the Blinis are associated with the pagan Maslenitsa festival. The Feast of the Slavic Ancient Religion was celebrated in honor of the sun and the end of winter. The round, yellow and hot-squeaking blins are the symbol of the sun.
As winter breaks down, Purpur also delights with authentic Slavic blinis. The traditional Slavic buckwheat blini is served with sour cream, onion and pickles.
